19th Jan 2023 was the last day of the three-day holiday children’s painting program. The first lesson of day was graphic marker drawing. Because Saturday was Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year), this year was the Year of the Rabbit, so the theme of today’s class was “Chinese New Year Rabbit”.

In class, we talked about the expectations of the new year, such as: the red envelopes given by the elders to the children; what was the zodiac this year? New Year pictures seen in shopping malls and on the streets at home during the Chinese New Year, etc. After everyone actively responded to the heated discussion, the teacher began to guide the students on what colors should be used to draw this theme, and then showed three demonstration pictures of New Year pictures in different styles. Then students chose demonstration pictures according to their preferences, and started their own creations!
