In the second term, Little Goal’s newly added junior class (3-5 years old) starts classes at 2-3 pm on Saturday! Today we mainly study color sense, and the theme is painting “Pineapple”. At the beginning of class, we first started to get to know each other and play a small game so that the children knew each other’s names and the name of the teacher. After that, we started to formally enter the topic. First, I asked the children what fruits they like to eat, and then told them that today we will draw pineapples.
.
The teacher asked the children: what is the color of pineapple and its shape and state. Ask questions to understand students’ understanding of the cognitive shapes of colors, and then display pineapple photos and simple drawings of pineapples on the whiteboard.
.
The children began to paint together with the teacher. First, they used their little fingers to dip some paint into the main shape of a big pineapple. This allows children to feel the water solubility and wetness of the paint by touching it.
.
The teacher wanted to see the students’ pen control ability, so the students then switched to using brushes to draw granular triangular pineapples and flaky round pineapples. Then paint the leaves of the pineapple. Finally, the teacher taught the children to use another paintbrush and try another commonly used painting technique. They dipped some white paint and flicked the pen tip with their little fingers to create messy spots on the painting. This painting method is often used to draw stars in the night sky.
.
Time passed quickly, and the one-hour painting class was over. Looking forward to meeting the little cuties in the next class.
